Vincent Aguirre, Ph.D, is our Post Doctoral Psychology Resident on staff providing services
in Clinical Psychology. He received his bachelor’s degree at Fresno State in 2011, M.S.
from Texas A&M University, and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University
in 2018. He is currently working on completing his post doctoral hours for licensure and is
under the direct supervision of Licensed Psychologist, Janet Toribio, Ph.D.. Dr. Aguirre
specializes in clinical psychology/mental health services for children, adolescents, and
His training and clinical experience has included multiple years at the Texas A&M University
Training Clinic, an internship at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Chicago
Illinois, as well as working in the Departments of Mental Health and Wellness at
Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, CA. Drawing from his experiences from working in a
variety of settings and levels of care across different areas in the USA, Dr.
Aguirre provides thoughtful and comprehensive services in consultation (usually with regard
to finding the right services for a given patient/client), individual therapy/counseling, family
therapy, and psychological testing (coming soon in Fall 2019).
Dr. Aguirre was born and raised in the Fresno/Clovis area of California and throughout his
education and training, has prioritized returning to the Central Valley of California to serve
the community who raised and encouraged him. He considers himself to be a family-
oriented individual, spending a lot of time with family now that he is back in his home area.
He also loves to play music and volunteers in the community in his spare time. Dr. Aguirre
also loves and values teaching, as he was recently hired as an adjunct part-time faculty at a
local community college.
